Where is Haven Heights Subdivision?

  • Haven Heights is located in the beautiful Western North Carolina Mountains in Marion , NC . We are close to I-40 (exit 86) and Hwy 226N. (This is between Hickory and Asheville , NC .)

How do I get there?

  • Directions: Head toward Marion, North Carolina on I-40, then exit at Exit 86 – Go North toward Marion on Hwy. 226, turn right on Jacktown Road, turn left on Foxwood Road and go to end of road to entrance to Haven Heights.

How big are the lots?

  • We have lots from a minimum of 1 acre and up.

What are the prices?

  • They vary in price, but usually are approximately $25,000 per acre, depending on location of lot and whether it has a mountain view , size of building site, or spring on the property.

Do you finance?

  • We will finance with 20% down and 9% interest for a maximum of 20 years.

Are there Deed Restrictions or Covenants on the property?

What type of road is there?

  • The roads are gravel that have been approved and built to DOT standards, with the ability of two cars to pass one other from opposite directions without leaving roadway.

How big of house do I have to build?

  • The minimum size for home is 1,000 square feet living area.

Can I put a mobile home on property (modular on frame)?

  • No single, double wide trailers are allowed on the property.
  • We do allow modulars on foundations and log homes.

Do I have to build right away?

  • No, there are no restrictions on time to build.

How do I get power?

  • Duke Power supplies the electricity to this western NC mountain acreage and can be reached at 828-652-3211.

  What do I do for water supply?

  • You will need to have a water well installed on your lot. There is no city water supplied to this mountain property.

What do I do to install septic systems?

  • The Environmental Health division of the Rutherford Polk McDowell District Health Department has the responsibility of ensuring the residents have a clean and healthy environment where they can work, live and play. This is accomplished by inspecting and insuring the compliance of local and state environmental regulations.

Can I camp or live in my RV?

  • You must have a permanent, minimum structure of 1,000 on the lot, but you can park your RV on property, as long as it is out of sight from the road.

Is there a Property Owners Association?

  • Yes, there is a Property Owners Association and Deed Restrictions.

What are the fees for the Property Owners Association?

  • $150.00 per year. If you own multiple lots and only one home, you only pay one fee per year. If you build homes on each lot, you will be subject to a fee on each lot.
